Hello my name is Dave, I sometimes have a moustache. I currently have not got one. In January 2007 I read an article in The Press entitled "The Pacific's Longest Walk". That day I decided to walk the 4,200km Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). I started walking late April 2012 and finished Mid October 2012. It was the most amazing experience of my life and has given me the passion and ambition to hike more long trails.

In 2013 I am attempting to thru-hike the Continental Divide Trail. This trail like the PCT also runs from Mexico to Canada, but is considered to be harder than the PCT with a longer distance (5,000km), less marked trail and far fewer hikers and trail angels to help you along the way. Join me on my journey, it will be really fun.
